The Production Planner is responsible for managing the full production‑order process for the Systems area (planning → creation → closing) and maintain the master backlog log. Handle material availability, warehouse transfers, shop‑floor loading, customer ship dates, and order revisions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and revise production orders (routings/BOMs/dates/assignments).
- Confirm material dates and verify availability.
- Release orders and prepare shop‑floor packets.
- Update master log and file completed orders.
- Coordinate warehouse transfers, kits, shortages, and inventory needs.
- Support DMRs, stoppages, and material picking.
- Confirm hours and technically close orders.
- Communicate with Order Management, Production, Shipping, and Supply Chain.
- Track KPIs (hour variance, OTD, labor efficiency).
- Review/update lead times for Systems items.
- Lead weekly project review meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned and collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Order Management, and Engineering/Design.
Education:
- Associate technical degree preferred.
Relevant Experience:
- 3–5 years in manufacturing/production planning.
- 3–5 years ERP use (SAP preferred).
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Other Requirements:
- Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑starter with strong work ethic and reliability.
- Able to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
- Strong process‑adherence and continuous‑improvement mindset.
