Key Account Manager

Own and develop strategic relationships with key OEM customers, acting as the primary commercial and coordination interface. Develop a deep understanding of customer business, applications, and decision‑making processes while driving sustainable, profitable growth and customer service excellence across the full account lifecycle.

The role also carries direct responsibility for driving growth through a focused portfolio of distributors across the South East Asia region.

Main Responsibilities:

1.Strategic Account & Relationship Management

Own and develop key OEM accounts, building long-term relationships with procurement, planning, quality, and technical stakeholders while coordinating with regional and global teams on account strategy, pricing, and solution positioning.

2. Sales Growth & End-to-End Sales Execution

Drive annual order intake and revenue growth in line with divisional objectives, including sales responsibility through distributor channels in Pakistan. Lead the end‑to‑end sales process by identifying opportunities, aligning technical and commercial solutions, steering negotiations, and securing orders that support both customer success and business profitability.

3. Technical Engagement & Customer Issue Resolution

Develop a strong understanding of customer applications and operational challenges, translating needs into appropriate Leybold solutions. Proactively coordinate with application engineering, service, logistics, and product teams to resolve technical, quality, and delivery issues and to ensure a consistently high customer experience.

4. Reporting & Operational Coordination

Ensure accurate forecasting, CRM pipeline management, and reporting while orchestrating internal coordination across customer service, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing. Actively manage demand planning, order execution, payment follow‑up, and critical delivery topics to meet customer and business commitments.

Skills / Knowledge / Personality

Knowledge & Skills

  • Diploma / bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Ability to engage confidently with engineers, planners, buyers, and senior stakeholders, translating complexity into clear actions and decisions.

  • Strong customer ownership mindset with natural curiosity to understand how customers operate and how value is created
  • Self‑driven, resilient, positive attitude and comfortable working independently in a complex matrix environment

Experience
  • Several years of experience in a key account, sales, or commercial role within an industrial, technical, or B2B environment, preferably serving OEM or multinational customers.
  • Proven track record managing complex customer relationships, with responsibility for understanding customer organizations, decision processes, and operational flows across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in vacuum technology or related industries is an advantage; strong curiosity and learning ability are considered equally important.
